The University of Houston System at Sugar Land will host a computer science and mathematics open house on Wednesday, February 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. on the UHSSL campus, 14000 University Blvd., in Sugar Land.
UHSSL—which is managed by the University of Houston-Victoria—offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs through the combined resources of the UH System: University of Houston, UH-Clear Lake, UH-Downtown and UH-Victoria.
“The open house will feature a game programming lecture, departmental lab tours, student and faculty demonstrations, and plenty of opportunity to discuss programs of study with professors.” said Dr. Melodath Damodaran, professor and coordinator of computer science and math for the School of Arts and Sciences at UHV.
“Technological advancements in the computer industry and mathematics fields create a pipeline of endless career opportunities,” added UHV President Dr. Tim Hudson. “We welcome Harris and Fort Bend communities to join us at the UHSSL campus to explore the possibilities.”
The open house is free of charge to participants and refreshments will be served. Degree plan counselors will be available to answer questions and provide information about bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in computer science and mathematics.
