UHV students donate more than $4,000 to Food Bank

A group of University of Houston-Victoria students present a check Friday for $4,148 to Robin Cadle, CEO of the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent and a UHV alumna. UHV students took part in the annual Food Fight fundraiser by donating the value of meals from their meal plans at Jaguar Hall Dining. The meals were converted into dollars by the university. This year, the students raised a record-breaking $8,296. Half of the proceeds were donated to the Food Bank, and the other half were donated to victims of the Louisiana flooding.
