A.I.I. tournament ticket prices set

Ticket prices for the Association of Independent Institutions Conference softball tournament have been set at $7 for a one-day game ticket or at $15 for a tournament pass for adults.

Tournament passes will be $5 for children and non-UHV students, while game day ticket prices will be $3 for children and non-UHV students. UHV faculty, staff and students will be admitted free with proper ID.

Action gets underway at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the St. Joseph O''Connor Softball Complex with Ohio Dominican taking on the University of British Columbia at Burdge Field. UHV follows at 1:30 p.m. against LSU-Alexandria. Play continues at 4 p.m. with Cal State-San Marcos taking on the Game 1 winner, while Simon Fraser meets the Game 2 winner in a 6:30 p.m. contest.      

Friday''s action resumes at 11 a.m., with games to follow at 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The final loser''s bracket contest is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday with the championship game scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Burdge Field.

Tickets can be purchased the day of the game at the park or, in advance at the UHV athletic office. For more information, contact the UHV athletic office at 570-4336. Gates will open at 10 a.m. each day.
