On Thursday, August 17, the Museum of the Coastal Bend will host the third and final workshop in the popular “Art of the Memoir” series, titled “Sharing Your Life.” Hosted by the museum in partnership with the University of Houston-Victoria, the workshop is designed to explore skills, tools and methods for permanently recording family memories.
“Sharing Your Life” will discuss scrapbooks and family memory books, published memoirs, creative framing, and family tree murals. The focus will be on methods that display keepsakes safely.
Presenters for the workshop include Carol Donovan, scrapbook artist, Richard Korczynski, photographer and framer, Margaret Rice, family historian, and Linda Wolff, chair of the Victoria County Historical Commission.
The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Museum of the Coastal Bend. Cost of participation is $39 ($34 for Museum of the Coastal Bend members) and includes lunch. Registration is open until August 14.
