UHV students from top two teams recognized at convention

UHV students Siara Washington of Houston, left, Miranda Southerland of Katy, August Bordovsky of Wrightsboro and Victoria McLaughlin of La Porte, take part in the Feb. 16 National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors annual convention in Houston. Members from the top two teams were invited to attend the event to speak about the social media platforms and strategies they created for NASPD as part of their “Electronic Marketing” undergraduate class.  Washington and Southerland, who were members of the first-place team, accepted an award on behalf of their team. Students who participated in the convention were given the opportunity to network with companies from all over the world.
