Walk-on Tryouts set for Baseball

Head coach Terry Puhl and the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars baseball team will host walk-on tryouts for the 2007-08 baseball season on Saturday, September 8, 2007. Tryouts will begin sharply at 10:30 a.m.

Eligible students interested in trying out for the Jaguars must sign up in the UHV athletics office prior to the tryout. The office is located on the main floor of the University Center Building.

To be eligible for the tryout, students must be enrolled fulltime. Candidates can either be enrolled at UHV with at least 12 hours or co-enrolled at a community college with a minimum of 9 hours at UHV. Students who are co-enrolled and playing collegiate baseball for a junior college will not be eligible for the tryout.

Each walk-on candidate must have a current physical and have proof of medical insurance.
