UHV students collecting donated items for 13th annual Giving Tree

Bola Adebayo, University of Houston-Victoria Student Government Association president, hangs an ornament on the Giving Tree Tuesday during a tree decorating ceremony. This is the 13th year SGA has put up a Giving Tree and asked UHV faculty, staff and students, and community members to place unwrapped donations for different area nonprofit organizations under the tree. Items are being collected for Adopt-A-Pet, Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, Mid-Coast Family Services and the Old Landmark Committee. Donations can be left under the tree until Dec. 14. For a list of needed items, visit www.uhv.edu/student-government-association/.
