Fans join in victory tradition and raise the Jaguar Jersey

Larry Lahodny, vice president/loan officer for TrustTexas Bank, raises the Jaguar Jersey on the flagpoles in front of University Center on the morning of Feb. 28 to celebrate the Jaguars baseball team’s victory over Huston-Tillotson the previous evening. In the second game of the doubleheader, the Jaguars defeated their opponents 10-1.

Representatives from the DeTar Health System help raise the Jaguar Jerseys on Thursday morning to celebrate the softball team’s 18-0 and 5-0 victories over Mount Marty College in the team’s first home game Wednesday, and the baseball team’s 12-1 and 7-3 victories over the Lancers baseball team on the same day. Standing in front of the flagpole are, from left, Jaguars centerfielder Ashley Falco, DeTar Marketing Director Judith Barefield, special helper 4-year-old Seth Stines, DeTar CEO Bill Blanchard, and UHV Athletic Director Ashley Walyuchow. DeTar Health System brought along a full entourage to raise the jersey including from the left in the front row, Teresa Stines, Lisa Bivens and Glenda Doebbler; and in the back row John Villafranca, Greg Vrieze, America Sherwood and John Wallace.
