“I’ve been involved in the ADA since I joined the NAIA and have been the Red River Athletic Conference representative on the board since UHV joined the conference for the 2015-16 year,” stated Walyuchow. “I’m excited to contribute and help lead the ADA into the future and keep the positive momentum going. I look forward to working with the ADA to grow our active membership so that we have more athletics administrators engaged in our Association, the NAIA and NACDA.”

Walyuchow has been the athletics director at UHV since the fall of 2006. He has grown their department from two sports and 50 student-athletes to six sports and over 140 student-athletes.

For his accomplishments, Walyuchow was recognized as a NACDA Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year in 2015-16. In addition to his duties on the NAIA-ADA Board, he serves on the NAIA's National Administrative Council and the UHV President's Cabinet.

“Ashley’s commitment to the NAIA and the ADA has been steadfast over the years,” said current NAIA-ADA President, Quin Monahan, Director of Athletics at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. “His desire to serve is nearly unmatched as is his willingness to be involved at every level. We’re excited to welcome him to the executive leadership team of the ADA and look forward to his fresh perspective, keen insight and positive contributions.”

In addition to Walyuchow, the 2018-19 NAIA-ADA Officers will include President Mike McCaffrey, Athletics Director at University of Saint Francis; 1st Vice President Kiki Barnes, Athletics Director at Dillard University; 2nd Vice President Joe Glover, Director of Athletics at Indiana University Southeast and Immediate Past President Quin Monahan, Director of Athletics at the University of South Carolina Beaufort.

Officers will officially begin their new assignments following this year’s NACDA Convention, which takes place June 28-30 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, D.C. as a part of the NACDA and Affiliates Convention Week.
