“This gracious donation will help us recruit top-notch students to our new golf program,” UHV Athletics Director Ashley Walyuchow said. “The endowment guarantees that the Pan American Golf Association of Victoria Scholarship will be awarded each year going forward.”

The endowment will provide an annual $500 scholarship to a full-time undergraduate student who is a member of the UHV Jaguars men’s or women’s golf teams and exhibits a high level of community service and involvement. The golf teams will make their debut in the fall.

“We want to encourage a whole new generation to experience the lifelong joys that the game of golf brings,” said Raymond Saenz, president of the Pan American Golf Association of Victoria.
