UHV small business center changes phone, fax numbers
Area business owners now have a new number to call when they need help.
The University of Houston-Victoria Small Business Development Center has changed its phone number from 361-575-8944 to 361-485-4485. The center’s new fax number is 361-580-5550, but the toll free number remains the same at 877-895-7232 (or 1-877-895-SBDC).

“Although our old phone number still will work for a few more weeks, we want everyone to know about the change and start using the new number,” Interim UHV SBDC Director Joe Humphreys said. “Some technological advances became available to us through UHV, and changing our fax and phone numbers was a necessity. These advances will make us more efficient.”
The center offers assistance on starting, growing and financing a business; contracting opportunities; and recovering from disaster. It also helps new businesses start and existing businesses expand through a combination of consulting and training in areas like market identification, raising capital and developing a business plan. Most of its services are free to area small business owners.
The UHV SBDC has clients in Aransas, Bee, Calhoun, DeWitt, Gonzales, Goliad, Jackson, Karnes, Lavaca, Refugio and Victoria counties.
