Walk-on Tryouts set for Softball

Head coach Keri Lambeth and the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars softball team will host walk-on tryouts for the 2007-2008 softball season on Wednesday, Aug. 29 and Thursday, Aug. 30.


Those interested must attend a mandatory walk-on informational meeting on Monday, Aug, 27 at the University Center Building in Room 103 at 2:30 p.m.


To be eligible for the tryout, candidates can either be enrolled at UHV with at least 12 hours or co-enrolled at a community college with a minimum of 9 hours at UHV. Students who are co-enrolled and playing collegiate softball for a junior college will not be eligible for the tryout.


Each walk-on candidate must have a current physical and have proof of medical insurance.
