UHV brings Chinese entrepreneur to speak in Sugar Land, Katy
Bin-Shin Wu, chairman of the board of a successful Chinese pharmaceutical company, will speak in Sugar Land this week and Katy next week about consumption from an entrepreneur’s perspective.
The free presentations will take place from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Friday in Room 103 of the University of Houston System at Sugar Land, 14000 University Blvd., and at the same time April 20 in Room 135 of the UH System at Cinco Ranch, 4242 S. Mason Road in Katy.
Wu is being brought to the teaching centers by the University of Houston-Victoria School of Business Administration. UHV provides many of the programs offered at the two locations.
The entrepreneur started Shandong Shanzhu Pharmaceutical Group in China in 1994. He also serves as chairman of the Beijing Genetic Engineering Research Institute, the Beijing Norton Biology Research Institute, and the Biology Research Institute for Treasury Animals.
His pharmaceutical group has 22 production enterprises, 600 subsidiary companies and 2,200 agency offices. Wu has nine individual invention patents and one international patent. He has turned six patents into consumer products.
Wu has been nominated as a national entrepreneur for his meritorious service to China’s developing market economy by the China Market Research Association and by the China Economic newspaper.
