Custom wedges for sale to support new UHV golf program

A custom golf wedge manufacturer based in Victoria is now selling a special club to benefit the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars new golf program.
“We’ve been producing industry-leading custom wedges for five years, and in Victoria for the last three, and with the new golf program kicking off, we thought it would be great to do whatever we could to raise some financial support and interest in it,” Eidolon Golf President Terry Koehler said. “That’s why we’ll be donating 15 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the Special Edition UHV Jaguars wedge to the golf program.”
The wedges feature grips with the Jaguars logo and black and red colors matched with Eidolon’s patented V-Sole heads and a choice of several custom shaft options.
Golfers can specify steel or graphite shafts in a variety of flexes and lengths. Heads are available in 48-, 52-, 56- and 60-degree angles.
UHV couldn’t have athletic teams without such community support, UHV Athletics Director Ashley Walyuchow said.
“We’re thrilled to have this support from a quality company like Eidolon,” he said. “Their support will make a huge difference in the lives of our student athletes. And as a fellow golfer, I’m really looking forward to seeing these wedges in action out on the course.”
The wedges are priced at $129 for a single club and up to $359 for a set of three.
To purchase a set, go to www.eidolongolf.com/uhv. Clubs are usually shipped within two working days of ordering.
The UHV golf and soccer programs will start in the fall and feature men’s and a women’s teams. UHV recently hired Whitney Stromgren as coach for the women’s golf team, and Brian Williamson was named coach of the men’s golf team.
