“I think it’s pretty cool that I can be in the first freshman class,” he said. While he hasn’t decided on a career yet, he is planning on something in the medical field.

Kelley was an athlete throughout his high school career. In baseball, he played as a catcher and first baseman. In track, he threw the shot put and discus. During his senior year, he focused on playing on the offensive line of his school’s football team.

He hasn’t decided yet about going out for UHV athletics. For the time being, he’s focused on getting everything ready for classes.

When not in class, Kelley enjoys riding his dirt bike on the beach or though muddy terrain. He also sometimes goes mudding in pickup trucks.

The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers courses leading to more than 80 academic programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education, Health Professions & Human Development.
