Teachers and Technology Come Together at Conference Hosted by UHV
On Friday, November 3, the University of Houston-Victoria will host the 2006 Educational Technology Mini Conference in conjunction with the Area III Texas Computer Education Association. The conference will last from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will feature a keynote address on the “Role of the Texas Computer Education Association.” A “MarcoPolo Trainer of Trainers” workshop will also be held on Saturday, Nov 4.
Conference participants will be able to choose from several breakout sessions on topics ranging from “Using Technology to Enhance Teaching” to “Spyware, Scams and Other Online Hazards.” The event will culminate with an address from Rusty Sinclair, training director of the Texas Computer Education Association.
Continuing professional education credits will be available to conference attendees. Door prizes, including two Try UHV Scholarships, will be given away.
