UHV’s MBA programs ranked No. 17 on OnlineU most affordable list

The quality and reasonably priced education offered by the University of Houston-Victoria School of Business Administration has captured the attention of a company ranking affordable online Master of Business Administration programs.

SR Education Group, a Kirkland, Wash.-based company focused on creating authoritative online education and career-related resources, published its OnlineU 2014 Most Affordable U.S. Online College Rankings earlier in June.

UHV is ranked No. 17 on the MBA list. The university’s tuition was the fourth lowest of the MBA programs in Texas that the group considered.

Farhang Niroomand, dean of the UHV School of Business Administration, said the OnlineU list inclusion is welcome news.

“Quality, affordability and convenience are three of the hallmarks of our business school,” he said. “Offering MBA programs entirely online has expanded our reach tremendously. We’ve had graduates from across the country and overseas. Being on lists like this helps further spread the word about the value of our MBA offerings.”

SR Education Group only considered accredited schools that offer fully online programs to students anywhere in the country. Tuition figures were determined based on primary research conducted online and conversations with academic representatives whenever necessary. The company released lists for 24 subject areas.

All of the UHV business school’s graduate degrees can be completed online, including the Strategic and Global MBAs. The UHV School of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This is the highest level of accreditation available to business schools, and less than 5 percent of business schools worldwide have earned it.
