CEO presents health care lecture at UHV Distinguished Speaker Series

Heber Lacerda, center, president and CEO of Regency Post-Acute Healthcare System Inc., receives a plaque Wednesday at the University of Houston-Victoria School of Business Administration Distinguished Speaker Series. Lacerda spoke about health care issues in the U.S. His lecture was the first Distinguished Speaker Series event held in Victoria. Joining him from UHV for the photo were, from left, Xavier Garza-Gomez, finance professor and chair of the Accounting, Economics & Finance Department; Stephanie Solanksy, associate management professor and chair of the Management & Marketing Department; Interim President Vic Morgan and Jifu Wang, management professor and associate dean. Proceeding Lecerda’s speech, a Business Information Fair was held for UHV students and community members.

The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers courses leading to more than 80 academic programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education, Health Professions & Human Development. UHV provides face-to-face classes at its Victoria campus, as well as an instructional site in Katy, Texas, and online classes that students can take from anywhere.
