Jaguars Baseball to Scrimmage Wharton County Junior College Tuesday Afternoon

The University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars baseball team will play its first scrimmage on Tuesday, September 25 against the Wharton County Junior College Pioneers. The scrimmage will begin at 3:00 pm and will be played at Riverside Stadium in Victoria.

After a couple of weeks of practice, the Jaguars are hungry for new competition.

“We’ve made some good progress together, “said head coach Terry Puhl. “But it’s always good to play against someone you don’t know. The intensity is higher and the level of competition is higher and that can sometimes be hard to replicate in practice.”

A few of the Jaguars will be playing against some familiar faces. At least 5 Jaguars attended WCJC.

Admission to the scrimmage is free. A limited amount of Jaguar souvenirs will be available for sale at the game.

The Jaguars will travel to Wharton on October 14 to complete the home and home scrimmage series.
