UHV online BBA program draws national ranking

The University of Houston-Victoria School of Business Administration recently received praise from a website ranking the top online business bachelor’s degrees in the nation.

The school’s quality, popularity and affordability helped UHV achieve a No. 19 ranking for best online bachelor’s in business administration programs. The rankings were compiled by UHV is the only public university in Texas ranked on the Top 25 list.

“We understand the importance of having a high-quality online degree program that caters to both traditional students and working professionals,” said Farhang Niroomand, dean of the UHV School of Business Administration. “I think our school has done an excellent job coming up with tools that promote online student interaction with each other and faculty members. The UHV School of Business Administration offers a BBA with concentrations in accounting, finance, general business, management, marketing, healthcare administration, human resources management and supply chain management. Online BBA students view lectures and complete assignments on Blackboard Learn 9. Faculty members also use Adobe Connect and other software to enhance online interactions.

With a focus on emerging trends and developments in online education, has informed prospective students about higher education options since 2009.

For the BBA rankings, the company assessed institutions’ academic quality, online offerings, cost and financial aid. The site took into account graduation rates, number of students obtaining BBAs, history of institutions’ online offerings and percentage of students involved in online programs.

Earlier this year, ranked the UHV Master of Arts in school psychology 13th nationally. UHV’s bachelor’s degree in communication also was ranked No. 13 in the country by the website. In 2014, ranked UHV as the third most affordable four-year online degree in Texas.
