UHV Networking Event Debuts New Name November 29th at Scoreboard
The University of Houston-Victoria will host its newly named “Off the Clock with UHV” event on Tuesday, November 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Scoreboard in the Victoria Mall. Formerly known as Thirsty Thursday, the event is open to all interested community members, UHV alumni, students, faculty and staff.
During the event, attendees can take advantage of the opportunity to network with other community members and persons with ties to the university. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be available, and several door prizes will be given away.
“We really wanted the new name to reflect the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that has made these events a success and allow for the expansion of new activities,” said Sarah Simon, UHV alumni relations specialist and event organizer.
After Off the Clock, participants can watch the University of Houston basketball game against Louisiana State University on the Scoreboard’s big screen TV. Tip-off is at 8 p.m.
