University of Houston-Victoria athletics senior secretary Debbie Griffiths helps Athletic Director Ashley Walyuchow raise two Jaguar Jerseys up the UHV flagpole Monday morning to celebrate the weekend victories by the Jaguars softball and baseball teams. On Friday and Saturday, the baseball team swept Jarvis Christian College in three games in Victoria, while the softball team scored victories over Oklahoma Baptist, Oklahoma Christian, Texas Wesleyan and the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma at the Cowtown Classic tournament in Fort Worth.

Every time the Jaguars win, a jersey is raised up the flagpole from sunup to sundown the next school day. Jaguars fans can join in the tradition by contacting the UHV marketing department at (361) 570-4296 or marketing@uhv.edu.
