Hudson assists in final Jaguar Jersey raising of first season

UHV President Tim Hudson, left of flagpole, prepares to help raise the Jaguar Jersey to celebrate the softball team’s victories at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Region VI Softball Tournament on May 8 in Farmers Branch, near Dallas. The last raising of the season was attended by Athletic Director Ashly Walyuchow, right of flagpole; Head Softball Coach Keri Lambeth, left of Hudson; Athletics secretary Debbie Griffiths, left of Lambeth; and all 15 members of the 2008 Jaguars softball team. The Jaguars defeated Northwood University 8-0 and College of the Southwest 5-1 to finish fourth in the team’s first appearance in postseason play.
The team finished its amazing first season with a record of 32-18 and were ranked fourth in the region and 15th in the nation.
