UHV Seeks Nominations for Distinguished Faculty Service Award
University of Houston-Victoria faculty, staff and students are invited to join Victoria community members in nominating UHV professors for the 2006 Distinguished Faculty Service Award. This recognition is given to honor significant, positive contributions made to the community by faculty members representing the university.
This is the first year for the award, which will be given annually. Eligible faculty members will have worked at UHV for at least three years, during which time they will have demonstrated a commitment to service activities. These may include making public appearances; consulting with business, government, and education organizations; serving on committees; and participating in student recruitment and job placement.
Nominations should be sent in a confidential envelope to the Faculty Service Award Committee via the Office of the Provost. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 10. For more information, contact committee chair Dr. Barba Patton at (361) 570-4271.
