Joseph Bernal
Joseph Bernal

Joseph Bernal, a senior at Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, loves to play golf.

"I chose the University of Houston-Victoria because I want to help launch the new golf program," Bernal said. "I want to be a part of the birth of this program and achieve great things with the team."

Aside from golf, he is an avid fisherman and holds eight state records in powerlifting.

Bernal plans to major in education.

The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers courses leading to more than 80 academic programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education, Health Professions & Human Development.
