New student likes size, price of UHV
Jasmin Herrera, a senior at Idea College Preparatory in Donna, found the University of Houston-Victoria to be just the right size.
“I’m from a small school, so I love the one-on-one teaching that goes on at the university,” she said. “UHV also is very affordable.”
Herrera expressed her excitement about being part of the FIRST 200.
“We can make our traditions and create new organizations,” she said.
Herrera plans to earn her bachelor’s degree in forensic science as a first step to eventually earning her doctorate.
The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973, offers courses leading to 70 bachelor’s, master’s and specialist degree programs and concentrations in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education, Health Professions & Human Development.
