UHV ranks number one in Texas for satisfaction among seniors

The University of Houston-Victoria received the highest score in the state concerning satisfaction of senior students in the 2009 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).

The survey, administered at over 1,000 institutions across the country, polled seniors by asking if they were given the chance to start over, would they choose the same institution.

Marking the top poll result in Texas, 96 percent of UHV survey participants answered that they would choose UHV again. At Texas A&M, 91 percent of seniors said they would choose the same institution and 90 percent answered affirmatively for Texas State University and the University of Texas-Austin. (See graphic.)

Universities where students did not take part in the surveys were not included in the results. Not all students responded to invitations to submit survey answers.
